Argentium Silver

Meet the exciting, shiny, and precious metal that is revolutionizing how we think about silver in the jewelry industry -- Argentium® Silver.
Argentium® - Hypoallergenic and Nickel Free
Traditional Sterling Silver has long been associated with discoloration where skin and jewelry are in contact, which in certain cases has resulted in the wearer suffering an adverse reaction. There has also been increasing awareness in recent years about the anti-allergy benefits of Nickel-free silver. Argentium® Silver is hypoallergenic and is well-suited for those who are unable to wear traditional Sterling Silver jewelry. Argentium® Silver also has antibacterial properties. Argentium® Silver alloys do not contain Nickel, which can trigger an allergic reaction that can lead to itchiness and redness.
Responsible Silver
What Makes Argentium Silver Responsible?
There is an increasing awareness and demand for the preservation of our natural environment - to conserve energy and natural resources and to reduce waste and pollution. Some practices in the silver industry use toxic chemicals and hazardous procedures for removing/hiding firestain - a penetrating, dark colored oxide that forms when sterling silver is heated during manufacturing processes. Such practices like plating are undesirable in the workplace and the disposal of toxic waste products also raises environmental concerns. Argentium® Silver is made responsibly.
Argentium® is always made from ethically sourced silver and is certifiably ethical.†₂ Argentium® has excellent firestain resistance that makes hazardous processes associated with removing and hiding firestain a thing of the past.

Never-Ending Innovation
940 Argentium® Silver
940 Argentium® Silver's composition is made of approximately 94% pure silver, 5% copper, and about 1% germanium, making it purer than standard 925 sterling silver.

[pictured above]: Allumer®'s first bobby pins prototypes made of 940 Argentium® Silver; Allumer® opted for 940 Argentium® Silver and not 960 Argentium® Silver due to rigorous tests that concluded Argentium® 940 Silver was a better fit due to how it was harder than Argentium® 960, making it more durable.
The possibilities for Argentium® Silver are limited only to the artist's imagination. Designs and prototypes using this amazing alloy have surpassed anything we could of imagined. Not only were earrings cups/posts being made with this silver, but homemade chains (square wire anchor chain) with functioning clasps, and even bobby pins were successfully curated during our prototype phase. Future Allumer® projects and launches will be some of the most exciting creations to see, all made possible by: Argentium® Silver.

Why Is Germanium Special and What Does
It Have To Do With Argentium® Silver?
Unbeatable Brightness
It's Negative Ion Charge = More Efficient Metabolism
Alleviates Pain and Improves Overall Wellness
(the statements above have not been evaluated by the FDA and clients are recommended to do their own research.)

[pictured above]: 960 Argentium® Silver grain, which arrives from overseas: the UK.
Germanium is the alloy responsible for Argentium® Silver's brightness. Argentium® Silver outshines White Gold, Palladium, Platinum and traditional Sterling Silver due to it's higher tarnish resistance when compared to traditional Sterling Silver.
When our body has more negative ions vs. positive ions, this increases the efficiency with it's natural metabolic process. Germanium has a negative charge, which means the negative ions causing this charge help with blood purification and balancing the positive and negative ions found in our bodies as well.†₃
It has been said that wearing bracelets that contain Germanium can actually help heal pain from muscle spasms and stiffness, symptoms of arthritis. Wearing Germanium-infused jewelry is said to promote things such as: improved sleep relief from pain improved vitality and deep relaxation.†₃

Tired of Your Favorite Pieces Tarnishing Quickly or Breaking You Out?
There is nothing worse than seeing a green or brown tint on your beloved jewelry that wasn't there before. The frustration that comes from wearing jewelry with cheap, fading plating is no longer your problem: Argentium® Silver doesn't tarnish quickly like fine silver tarnishes because there is little to no copper in Argentium® Silver, keeping your newest additions from Allumer® hypoallergenic, and shining for longer than Sterling Silver. Because the "Classique Stud Earrings" have Argentium® Silver posts and backings, people will be looking at your ears because of the lustrous, round pearls, not because of inflamed, irritated ears.
Argentium® Silver Won't Let You Down!
